Polypropylene Plates for Filter Press

Materials for the ceramic industry

Polypropylene Plates

The filter press plates supplied by us are white and are made of Polypropylene Copolymer (PPC).
At the moment they can be supplied in four different formats, 500 x 500 – 630 x 630 – 800 x 800 – 1000 x 1000 mm, which are also the most widely used formats in the market, but in the near future will also be produced the 1200 x 1200 mm  and 1500 x 1500 mm sizes.
Polypropylene Copolymer (PPC) is more flexible and resistant to the impacts of Polypropylene Omopolymer (PP) which is rather rigid and marginally more fragile.
Both resist to pressure up to 16 bar.
Polypropylene has a high resistance to acids and alkalis and a good temperature resistance, that’s why it is used in many different industrial fields , such as . waste water depuration , petrochemical industry , galvanic and also for the clay body production in the ceramic industry.
The plates can be supplied with side water drainage or manifold drains located in the four internal corners of the plate (usually used in the waste water depuration field).

The dotted design in the filtering surface of the plate allows an excellent water drainage thus allowing to considerably reduce the filter-pressing cycles

AVAILABILITY

20190201_174507_resize_m
The most common formats have very fast delivery times, as they are produced in quantity and kept in stock.
Nevertheless, even if they are not immediately available, the delivery time is quite fast

HANDLES

The plates can be supplied with the Polypropylene handle.
The handle can be thermo-welded, fixed with stainless steel screws or simply supplied separately and then applied by the customer.
Handles suitable for manual opening filter presses and handles suitable for automatic opening filter presses are available.

UNLOADING HOLES

The side water drain hole it usually  is supplied together with a plastic tube in the shape of an “L” (optional) that can be inserted into the 3/4 “hole, made  at the bottom in the thickness of the plate, thus allowing the collection of the residual water in a  water recovery channel that must be installed on the filter press.
The inside water drainage are instead positioned in the plate, in the four corners and are ø 40 mm holes (ø 50 mm in the case of the 1000 x 1000 mm format) which allow the residual water to be conveyed up to the filter press head and then to be recovered.
